Marina Lagace, RMT

Marina is passionate about Massage Therapy as a way to heal and restore optimal function to the mind and body. She believes in the healing power of rest, nurturing touch and authentic human connection. Marina is also a mother, a yoga teacher, an avid reader, hiker and a budding weight lifting enthusiast.

During her massage treatments, Marina combines Swedish massage, with mobility and fascial techniques, resulting in effective massage therapy along with deep nourishment for the nervous system. A holistic understanding of the mind-body informs her approach to massage. Marina’s areas of focus include women’s health, perinatal care, scar tissue release, TMJ dysfunction, scoliosis, low back and hip pain, and chronic pain and stress.

Marina Lagacé graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria in 2015. She has pursued additional training in perinatal massage (pregnancy, post-partum and post-cesarean care), breast/chest massage, infant massage, head and jaw massage and therapeutic yoga. She enjoys working with patients to find mobility and strengthening exercises that may help relieve their symptoms.

Marina welcomes patients of all ages and genders in her practice. Her work is trauma informed. She values cultural safety and is a LGBTIQ+ ally. Marina is profoundly grateful to live, work, and play in beautiful qathet.

John Kastelic, RMT

John’s treatments primarily use Swedish massage techniques to decrease pain, relax tight muscles, and decrease stress. Depending on the patient’s goals, he also incorporates trigger point release, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, muscle energy technique, and practical exercises that patients can complete at home.

John offers deep tissue massage to those who prefer a deeper pressure, and he also knows that massage doesn’t need to hurt in order to be effective. He recognizes that every patient has their own pressure expectations and adapts to each patient’s tolerance.

John is trained to treat a wide range of muscular, postural, fascial, and neurological concerns. Some of the conditions he frequently treats are back pain, neck and shoulder tension, tension headaches, hip pain, plantar fasciitis, and forearm tightness. He is excited to work with people of all ages, genders, and body types. Everyone is welcome.

John is dad to two young kids who keep me him on his toes. When left to his own devices he enjoys cycling, climbing, juggling, and reading. His “other job” is making music professionally, which he has done for over 15 years. These days he plays viola in Vancouver-based Black Dog String Quartet and electric bass in the punk rock band Equals, based here in qathet.
